Every other beat, on the beat and quick-quick-slow
In this lesson you’ll be able to practice some of the previous rhythms: every other beat, on the beat, quick-quick-slow.
Training with this combination is great because it totals 8 beats, which is the exact length of a musical phrase.
And many phrases of many songs progress in this way (starting slow and finishing fast).
So, in my opinion, this is the first rhythmical structure we all should get used to do (regardless of the movements you choose to perform. But I suggest you to start by “simply” walking forward only, or combined with back and side steps, or even step on the spot… and then any other option you want!)
